nichts gross
long time no see, eh.
well i've been getting frame ready for La Luz de Jesus 25
its a two month show, displaying more art than they know what to do with, and the preview recently went live. i can't describe well how excited i am to show with some of my heros from the art community.
then JT and i are part of a group show at the grand opening of
Home Room, a new venue/gallery in l.a.
i sadly don'y have any photos of the piece but you should just come and see it for yourself.
also just announced is DirtBike Puppet Theatre's performance at
Vlad the Retailer's Helioween block party. shit s'gonna be awesome.
aaaaaaand lastly, the fun loving illustration that will appear on KXLU's boyshorts premium for this year's fundrazor.
so donate! and get yours!

its amazing how much perspective you gain when you look at a drawing on the computer.
everything is seemingly okay, but really not really.

the world's largest sound stage
is what l.a. has always been to me. not a home, but a place where the sun and weather are too good to be true. and nothing feels that real.
nevertheless, A.B.A.W. meet in the heart of santa monica today and it full of the things a day off of work should be made of...always.

i'm three years strong with the cult, and i'm thankful every day for it.

design slums
there's something about silhouettes, i love being lost in them.
i had a few different hair styles sketched out but i don't think she should have that much of an identity.

the pigeon feathered angels
with L.A. Zine Fest only eight months away, over at Team False Start, we are starting to seriously plan out and lock down a venue for the event.
some of our affiliates have offered to flier for us at the SFZF (sanfranciscozinefest) next month.
worked on the first stages of the flier illustration. trying to focus of the unity and community between SF and LA.
we should have a lot on common right? two coastal cali urban centers....nevertheless, we love the SF diy community.

no volcano yet
a couple of days ago i had loads of time to kill on the miracle mile so i went to lacma and covered nearly every inch of the tar pits and everything else that was free to the public. i didn't however have any extra cash to shell out and see tim burton's exhibition which i kinda really wanna check out, only because i haven't seen much of his art outside of his films and i was under the impression that we like the same aesthetics . nevertheless i'm curious.
with their permanent collection there was a small room that tim curated with art that he is influenced by. i had no idea it was gonna be there but it was the best part of the trip, with the exception of the bubbling tar. so i doodled some of the pieces i most liked.
